Armillaria, film, 14’32

The Armillaria fungus feeds on olive trees by eating them from the main trunk, which triggers the tree to generate new sprouts. Through a musical, detemporalized and liquid approach, Armillaria explores the biological life cycles of these organisms capable of living for several thousand years.  Allegories of resistance, the artist uses them to construct an experimental narrative, focused on the experience of the Mediterranean locals, interpretating the olive groves as spaces of fluid frictions; spaces to be reclaimed.

Portals I, II, sound sculptures

The sound sculptures Portals I, II, created with Jeanne Yuna Rocher, a visual artist specializing in lenticular work, seem to emerge from the video to extend the reflection and make it felt physically. Made from lenticular fragments taken from images of the multi-millennial olive tree of Echraf, they show recomposed organic matter moving according to the shifting gaze.

2026   Lettre Infinie

Soma Marseille

Performance, 75’
directed by Constant Spina
improvised music by Catharæ x Myrrh Wa Saphira

Back in Sicily, Theseus writes an endless letter to loved ones, beginning with the account of a quest: to solve the mystery of a forgotten tomb. A genderless child of a thousand loves, a centaur half-human, half-ghost, they traverse a liminal world where reality intertwines with myths, legends, and childhood adventures. Between the ruins of the past and those of the present, Theseus inhabits the scars of a land peopled with gods and goddesses, stars, plants, and creatures, and walks at the foot of mountains of fire. An atmospheric Mediterranean tale in which Constant Spina makes his native island the true heroine of the story.
